About the event
The Special Olympians will be boarding a bus by 7:45 am and be leaving Edmond North by 8:00AM.
Volunteers will not be allowed to ride the bus and must find their own transportation to and from the event.
Please remember to register as a Class A/Unified Partner volunteer and take the Protective Behaviors Course on the Special Olympics Oklahoma website (www.sook.org). If you are 16 years old or younger, you can escort an athlete to events as long as you are accompanied by an adult.
Teacher permission slips are not required because the Teacher Walkout is still in effect.
Most years, our group sits on the far right bleachers (when looking towards the field). Please text us if you can't find us: Sam 201.315.0477 or Waverly 201.565.7563.
IMPORTANT: Please bring hats, sunscreen, warm clothes (dress in layers) and wear sneakers - this is Oklahoma!
Pizza is provided for athletes - please bring snacks and lunch for you and your family - or pizza may be purchased for a dollar a slice. There is also a snack bar with various food and snacks for sale.
